Learned Helplessness, developed by Dr. Martin E. P. Seligman. This theory, backed up by years of research, is that a great deal of depression grows out of a feeling of helplessness: the feeling that you cannot control your environment.
The more you feel that you can control your environment, and that the things you do are actually working, the happier you are. When you find yourself frustrated, angry, and upset, it’s probably because of something that happened that you could not control. – Quoted from Joel Spolsky

At times I’ll find myself whistling, humming a happy melody on the way to work, and I couldn’t wait until I get my hands start punching away the keyboard working on the program I stopped half way yesterday. On the contrary, at times I feel like a deadman dragging myself to the office, and THAT is the time I wouldn’t be productive at all the whole damn day, surfing forums, reading blogs, chatting and ranting about life and shit.
I just realized I’ve this Learned Helplessness after reading Joel’s article. The time when I’m so eager to goto work, there must be a program that I’m very eager to look into it; The time when I’m like a dead living corpse, it’s when I hit some damn program bugs ( or debug SAP standard ) which I’ve been debugging for the whole day and couldn’t find a solution.
So by knowing myself better, I know how to farking deal with it when I came across myself acting the way I shouldn’t be. =]
Okie…back to debugging…

The rich and the poor…
The news in details here.
Basically what happened is this FRP ( farking rich person / people ), bought $154,150 worth of 8 Gucci bags and gotten herself 54 vouchers, and so she chose another $300,000 worth of Gucci goods. Conflicts kicked in when she wanted to use the 54 vouchers at one shot, Gucci staff wouldn’t let her do that, but she insisted her rights that there’s no black and white on the voucher saying one person can’t use more than 1 voucher or multiple vouchers at the same time.
The staff even kneeled down and apologized to the FRP after some few hours of negotiations, what funny is…the FRP also kneeled down and apologized, saying that it’s her fault…because she had bought too much. haha
In the end, she bought over 1m worth of Gucci bags, shoes, etc.
Happened in Taiwan.
Rich..well, some people are so poor that they from young gotta perform to earn a living.
