Thanks for info…. but my database disappears each time I close and re-open the AVD so I have to re-create it each time. I used SQLite Manager add-on for Firefox to create it. Am I doing something wrong? Also if I create the database in the /data/data/ package name/databases/ on the emulator, will it move to the SD card when it ids enabled in the manifest on loading to an actual device?

Hey Reshma, you can create database once by running your application containing code for creating the database. As soon as you run that, database will be created and you will get database folder in data/data/package_name/

Im using FireFox 7 on my brand new Dell XPS and the lagging tabs were driving me nuts! Since my desktop didnt have the same issues.

its better to enter transaction se16n or /nuase16n
choose table you wanna look at, and write the transaction &sap_edit (editor mode)

I will allow you to change o introduce new values..

It’s also definitely worth going to the site and the “get scripts” section, there’s a few gems there. Unforunately, there’s no designated place to post user scripts. I found a few on github, but there slightly more specialized.

I always update my google search to within the past year and got tired to choosing the options everytime, so I made the script here: https://gist.github.com/1163723

Although it can implement any google search tool with a change in one line of code, which I setup for implementation.

That seems to have done it for me, too. Lots of other suggestions about disabling add-ons made no difference in a suddenly laggy Firefox 4.0.1 on a Windows XP machine, where I am using both my laptop screen and an external monitor. Turning off hardware acceleration seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!

Brilliant, switched off ‘use hardware acceleration’ and tab switching is much faster!
