Singapore Trip
It rained heavily on the night I board the 18 seater’s bus to Singapore, I was feeling quite down. I won’t get to see her for 1 week, weird…the past few weeks, I’ve only seen her once or twice every week too, I felt something is missing…going on a trip without her.
The seat in the bus was very comfortable, I keep thinking of her, on and off I dozed off and woke up during the journey. The seat beside me was empty, I was thinking if only one of my heng dai could come along or one of my smoking partner would tag along, that’d be awesome…During one of the toilet break, I smoked alone…it just don’t feel right.
Well, reached Singapore around 7am in the morning, I wanted to take a cab to my relative’s house but my mom insisted to take a bus, we walked for quite a distance because we took the wrong stop down. The first culture shock we encountered was when we tried to cross a T-junction, there was a Civic zooming towards our direction at a fairly fast speed, we stopped in front of the zebra crossing but to our surprise, the Civic slowed down and stopped to let us cross the road first. This would never happened in Malaysia…
The smoking areas here are really limited, even in normal kopi tiam you can’t simply smoke anywhere, there’s designated and very limited tables in a yellow box where only you can smoke there. Time to quit smoking…maybe?
